Carousel

Why hello there. This is my first legit blog and post! I'm no longer a blogging virgin - so please, be gentle with me.

These are a few snap shots from my final animated short, called 'Carousel', completed in my final year at Bournemouth University. My roles included: Director, design and concept, animation, lighting and all compositing. Other members included: Sarah Elvidge, Rachel Chu and Jasper Affonso.

It is based on a boy who finds himself in an eerie, white-void-esque world, where everything isn't quite what it seems, when he meets a creepy carousel attendant and his carousel. Story and the aesthetics for this short were heavily influenced by the Surrealist movement, Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and the illustrative genius of Arthur Rackham and Tim Burton.

And here's the final animation I suppose - if you're feeling greedy.

Peace.
